Meet the Teacher

My work is guided by a simple principle:

Depth over convenience.
Essence over trends.

In a time where yoga is often fast, simplified, and marketed for quick consumption, my approach returns to experience, embodiment, and attentive practice.

I combine traditional yoga methods with body-mind therapeutic work, creating a space where students can practice safely, deeply, and in their own rhythm.

My background includes:

• Senior-level Ashtanga training (Primary & Intermediate) - Vijay Kumar., Mysore, India
• Senior teacher within the VKM system - Matthew Sweeney., Australia
• Shiatsu therapist specializing in body–mind integration - Zuna Kozankova, Slovakia

Retreat groups are intentionally kept small to allow personal attention, careful listening, and a supportive learning environment.
Each participant is invited for a short conversation before the retreat so the practice can be adapted to individual needs.

In-person and remote options

My place is conveniently located in quiet residential area. A place to pause, grow, and reconnect.

  • "If you want a teacher who truly understands anatomy and respects your body’s limits, Danka is the best! ."

."Her teaching reminded me that building a body that feels strong and supported is far more important than the shape of a backbend. I’m still working toward kapotasana, but I’m doing it with intention rather than ego this time."

    -Karen Bocqué

  • "The classes with Danka feel like a soft touch, a pause in the middle of the chaotic world where we can calm down, experiment, observe and focus on our well being while building strength and confidence."

    — Camille Remy, Brussels

  • "She is determined, patient and firm and takes time to explain all asanas, and how our bodies should be feeling while practicing - so I feel guided, supported and safe everytime I practice with her. "

    —Zuzana Belicova, Sydney, Australia

  • 'I really enjoy the progressive and therapeutic approach of Danka's classes and she does an amazing job at giving individual guidance, which is very rare skill and asset when teaching online! '

    - Myriam Méret , Rotterdam

  • "Even from far, she provides a safe space and with her interdisciplinary view and many tools, she guides us with her peaceful strength through the practice reminding us to take care of ourselves, to breathe and to watch our feelings and respect the state we are in as well as our day to day needs."

    — Camille Remy, Brussels
