“I´ve know Danka for many years. I perceive her as a one of the most responsible students, but also, as a one of my precious friends. As a student, she is characterized by an interest in searching for the core, a journey into the depths and discovering connections, and as a friend by sincerity and kindness. She unites these two of her qualities into her work and passes them on to her clients and students.”

Zuna Vesan Kozánková

Welcome to my world of holistic well-being.

I'm Danka Bednárová, an artist turned yoga teacher and shiatsu practitioner. My journey began as a textile designer, creating custom clothing and jewelry that allowed me to touch people's lives through beauty and art.

As a freelancer, I longed for stability and harmony, and my search led me to Chinese medicine and a more natural lifestyle. Yoga entered my life, and I instantly felt its transformative power.

I dove deeper, studying and practicing daily, and traveled the world to learn from renowned teachers in India, Sydney, and Bali.

But my path didn't stop there. I also explored the healing touch of shiatsu, deepening my understanding of the body-mind connection.

This combination became my passion, guiding me to help others find their balance and embody their true selves.

With dedication and a thirst for knowledge, I continue to study, grow, and share my experiences.

Today I am based in Leipzig where I teach workshops and courses in various studios regularly.

Throughout the years, I shifted my main focus towards more therapeutic yoga practices in individual sessions and small groups. As a long-time student of renowned Vinyasa Krama teacher Matthew Sweeney (yogatemple.com), I have obtained a rare and unique authorization to teach his famous Moon sequence, Lion Cub, and Sunshine sequence, and their variations.

I am here to support you on your journey toward balance and a fulfilled life.
Together, let's discover your unique essence and create a path to holistic well-being.

My Mission

I love experiencing how yoga serves people at all stages of life.

My intention when teaching is to provide a space that feels safe and nurturing for all students, no matter what level of practice you are at. I aim to offer you safe and nurturing classes and courses where you can explore yoga at your own pace, regardless of your level of experience.

Together, we'll dive deep into the gentle yet deep practice of yoga, allowing you to open your heart,
release tensions, and embrace whatever emotions arise.

Combining my expertise in both yoga and Shiatsu therapy, I will offer you a unique approach
that harmonizes body, mind, and spirit.

These ancient practices, rooted in nature and traditional wisdom, empower us to restore harmony and find our place in life.

I believe that yoga is not just about physical postures; it is a lifestyle that encompasses breath, meditation, and self-reflection. Through tailored sequences and individualized classes, I'd like to help you cultivate sustainable yoga practices that cater to your unique needs, constitution, and life circumstances.

Additionally, as a woman, I have delved deeper into women's health, incorporating nutrition science and understanding the cycles of the female body. This knowledge allows me to support women in finding balance and well-being throughout their journey.

My mission is to guide you on a path of self-discovery, helping you reconnect with your inner self
and reclaim a better awareness of your life.

Together, we'll navigate the healing process, creating a sense of wholeness and harmony.

“Danka is a sincere and humble practitioner.
While her sincerity helps her to be a good student, her humbleness helps in being a good teacher”

My Logo Story

Sign for ‘Breathe’ in Sanskrit as a source for the form

Composition in golden ratio: constructed with circles in relation to each other with the measurement of the golden ratio.

1.
Finding shapes of the Moon inside the circles and adding signs of modest light. Adding a drop falling from above:
A soul coming into live. The Circle at the bottom can be seen as a moon, but it also gives the form a ‘Sanskrit- Look’.

2.
Creating an infinity-sign out of the intertwining circles. A halfmoon appears to be holding the infinity-sign. The drop coming from above is falling into a form reaching out to hold it: A save guidance, a ‘catching hand’ in life. (Yoga, Shiatsu)

3.
Simplifying the form: The full moon in the background, the sign of Infinity growing out of the circle. Something that is bigger than what we can experience with our 5 senses. The infinity-sign appears as an ‘S’ announcing Sahayoga.
